If you’re looking to get the best bang for your buck, check out the late-summer version of the semiannual Baltimore Avenue Dollar Stroll, celebrating one of the city’s most popular business boulevards. The fest offers special $1, $3 and $5 deals from participating vendors and neighborhood businesses, set up at multiple locations like Cedar Park, Clark Park, 50th Street Triangle, Trolley Portal Gardens and HMS School — plus a block party along 48th Street with live music and crafts. Also on offer: pay-as-you-go food and drinks (including beer and cocktails).

Disability Pride Philadelphia Festival and Parade

Join people with disabilities, allies, aides, family and friends along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway for the 12th annual Disability Pride Philadelphia Festival & Parade. The daylong party kicks off at City Hall with a parade up the Parkway beginning at 11 a.m., followed by the four-hour festival between 16th and 18th streets with food trucks, games, arts and craft vendors, special guests, giveaways, community and resource organizations, sensory-friendly spaces, and live music every hour on the hour from Ryan Gilfillian, Gooch & the Motion and Black Cat Habitat.

Philly Black Wine Festival

Dedicated to cultivating an appreciation of diversity in the wine and spirits industry, the Philly Black Wine Festival offers attendees an immersive experience integrating wine culture, music and food for Philly area oenophiles and wine connoisseurs. Held at a secret location in Philadelphia (to be announced August 19, 2024), the festival features unlimited tastings of Black-owned wine brands, spirits, cocktails and curated food vendor selections. Along with great food and drink, the festival also offers live entertainment, DJ sets, installations and lots of community and culture.

Rittenhouse Square Fine Art Show

The popular biannual Rittenhouse Square Fine Art Show — the oldest outdoor fine arts show in the country at nearly a century — is true to its name, offering only original fine art. The free outdoor gallery showcases nearly 150 professional fine artists manning booths ringing Rittenhouse Square offering works in oil, acrylic, watercolor, sketch, glass, printmaking, sculpture and more.
