Running from March 2 to March 10, this horticultural extravaganza is the nation's largest and longest-running event of its kind. Under the theme "United by Flowers," the show aims to foster a sense of community through a shared love of gardening, flowers, and plants. A highlight for 2024 is the show's largest-ever created body of water at The PHS Entrance Garden, adding a refreshing touch to the event. Attendees can also participate in free Know to Grow educational sessions, explore the Butterflies Live! exhibit, and try their hand at garden-inspired crafting along Artisan Row.

Boathouse Row Relighting Ceremony

Thursday, March 7, 2024 | 6 p.m.

After more than a year of darkness for maintenance, the Boathouse Row lights are set to shine again in a dazzling relighting ceremony on March 7. The iconic facades now boast 6,400 sparkling new LED lights. Located at the Fairmount Fish Ladder on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, the ceremony promises food trucks, live music, and a sneak peek of the lights' 16 million possible color combinations. The celebration kicks off with remarks at 6 p.m., followed by the mesmerizing light show at 7 p.m.

Philadelphia St. Patrick's Day Parade

Continuing the tradition since 1771, the Philadelphia St. Patrick's Day Parade takes place annually on the Sunday before St. Patrick's Day, March 10 in 2024. Spectators line the Benjamin Franklin Parkway to witness one of the best St. Patrick's Day parades in the U.S. The event honors the patron saint of Ireland, celebrating Irish heritage and culture with a lively procession.

Run for Coffee Lovers 5K/10K/13.1 PHILADELPHIA

Calling all coffee lovers and fitness enthusiasts! The highly anticipated Run for Coffee Lovers is set to take place on March 25 along the scenic Schuylkill River Trail. With options for 5K, 10K, and a half marathon, this exclusive event offers a small and intimate group experience. Participants receive a premium running shirt, a finisher's medal, and a swag bag shipped directly to their address. For those unable to join a physical wave, a virtual run option is available, complete with text assistance from a coach.
