BlackStar Film Festival
August 1st - August 4th, 2024
Showcasing films by Black, Brown and Indigenous artists from around the world, the BlackStar Film Festival brings features, shorts, documentaries, panel discussions and parties to multiple venues across the city. Hailed as “The Black Sundance” by Ebony magazine, the annual Oscar-qualifying fest celebrates some of the most influential voices in filmmaking and visual arts. The 2024 event — its 13th year — features 94 films (including 16 world premieres) representing 40 countries with screenings at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, Suzanne Roberts Theatre, World Café Live and Barnes Foundation.

Philly Taco Fest

Head down to XFINITY Live! for a truly grand two-day experience at the seventh annual Philadelphia Taco Festival. Indulge in selections from 30 of Philly’s best restaurants, food trucks and eateries offering over 85 styles of tacos, plus Mexican corn, churros, tamales, nachos and more. Along with all the comida, enjoy multiple margarita bars, live bands and Mariachi music, DJs, mechanical bull riding, ax-throwing, a kids zone, and hot chili pepper and taco eating contests for the brave of heart and stomach.

2nd Street Festival
