Behind the Scenes

We are closely tied to Drexel

We are closely tied with the Drexel, as we participate in the undergraduate co-operative education program and a number of our employees are alumni of the university! Cooperative education at Drexel enables undergraduate students to balance classroom theory with practical, hands-on experience prior to graduation.

Investing in Premium Property Marketing

Our team invests in premium-quality media to make sure our clients’ properties are presented at their best. We use professional real estate media technology to capture high-quality photography, detailed floor plans, immersive 360° virtual tours, and video content that gives prospective renters and buyers a much better feel for a property before they ever step inside. For our owners, that means we’re not relying on basic phone photos and a listing description to market their investment. We invest in the tools and technology needed to create polished, professional marketing across rental websites, social media, email campaigns, and our own digital channels. It’s one of the behind-the-scenes investments our team makes to help our clients’ properties stand out and to give prospective residents a better experience from the very beginning. When an owner trusts New Age Realty Group with their property, we want the marketing behind that property to reflect the same level of care and professionalism we put into managing it.

Careful Screening Helps Create Stronger, More Stable Tenancies

Our leasing team has been especially diligent this year about consistently applying our rental qualification standards and carefully reviewing applications before leases are approved. So far this year, 140 applications have not met the established qualification criteria, compared with 119 during all of last year. While application denials are never something we celebrate on their own, the numbers show how important thorough screening is to protecting both our clients and the stability of the properties we manage. A poorly qualified placement can eventually lead to unpaid rent, court filings, legal costs, and disruptive turnover. Based on our internal estimates, avoiding even a portion of those situations can represent hundreds of thousands of dollars in potential legal fees and lost rent for property owners. The real story is the work happening behind the scenes: our Leasing Associates are taking the time to verify applications, follow established screening standards, and make responsible leasing decisions rather than simply trying to fill units as quickly as possible. That diligence helps our clients reduce financial risk while creating more stable tenancies from the start.

Five Years With Arterial Coffee

Arterial Coffee has been a commercial tenant of ours for almost five years now, right across the street from our office. They’re a Black- and woman-owned coffee shop, and our team is over there constantly. Most days, someone from the office is grabbing coffee, breakfast or lunch from them.

When we were looking to fill the space, we were pretty intentional about not just taking the first tenant that came along. We wanted to hold out for a business that would actually be good for the neighborhood and become an asset to the community.

Arterial opened during COVID, which obviously wasn’t an easy time to start a business, but they’ve grown into exactly the kind of neighborhood spot we were hoping for. Five years later, they’re not just our tenant. They’re our neighbors, a place our staff goes almost every day, and a business we’re really happy to have as part of the community.

Committed to getting residents their money back faster

Our property manager, Eric, mentioned that this year we are making an effort to decrease the time it takes to return security deposits. The goal is to get people their money as quickly as possible, especially in the current economy. Our team understands the struggles that the average person deals with and are not blind to financial stress.

Another busy 9/1 for New Age Realty

Our team processed over 120 move-outs on 8/31/26 and nearly 100 move-ins on 9/1, which is our busiest 2 days of the year, on top of dealing with our normal day-to day tasks. Our entire team is all hands on deck to help PM and Leasing get things done. Our company is one of the only in the city that does 24 hour turnovers, which means a tenant moves out and the next day a new one moves in.

Our Multilingual Staff Helps Us Better Serve the Philadelphia Community Mark handled

On many occasions, owners, tenants, and vendors will come into our office who have a language barrier. Luckily we have staff members who speak other languages. For example, Hansen speaks Indonesian, Liza speaks Spanish, and Dimitra/Chris speak Greek. A team with varying cultures allows us to provide a more accessible service to the Philadelphia community.
